Cee Bea - I Have Written You

I have written you quite often
on a pad I keep in stow
while you've never seen them
I thought you'd like to know

They speak of my admissions
my wants my hopes and dreams
they speak of my omissions
of truth, of how it seems

I talk to you quite often
in thoughts that roll around
they speak in softer lines
to your heart I do feel bound

I sent a portion of it
only you could ever know
hoping it be well tended
hoping love would grow

I guess I loved enough
to turn and walk away
but 'ere I oft return
returning every day

this is not to placate this is not a plea,
this is not to color over and its not a rue
its just a simple, simple way
to say I still love you

I felt you across the oceans
felt you across time
I hope this bottles message
well- I hope that you will find

although we never touched
or even had a kiss
I hope for you the best
for that is my true wish

and if you ever find this
I hope that you will see
I wonder if you feel the same
if you're missing me

Maybe you can answer
maybe you can not
but if you do still love the thought
I hope that thought won't stop
