Cebu's first pet park opens

Cebu’s first-ever pet park opens, allowing visitors to encounter animals up close by petting, feeding and engaging them in guided learning activities. The park, situated in one of the city's landmarks, features macaws, cockatoos, Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, alpacas, sheep, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, Aldabra and Sulcata tortoises, spectacled caimans, Burmese pythons, iguanas, leopard geckos and red tegus. Dino Group of Companies Vice President Shaun Dino said the park gives Cebuanos an opportunity to encounter animals up close in a controlled and safe environment. The park also holds bird shows at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., along with a show-and-tell activity designed to make learning about animals more interactive.
