I sit here, alone
Crying, dying
Listening to the notes
Save me

The pieces have fallen
The castles are deserted
The fortifications have been taken
Overrun

My heart shrivels
While my mind whirls
The death of a love so old, but new
What happened?

The tears won't yet fall
And my heart won't yet break
But soon the realization will come
What has happened?

The cannons are fired
The shells exploded
The war is won and lost
Fading away...

The darkness envelops
The light struggles
Even the brightest star...
Save me, love.
