Welcome to California Eye Specialists, an Ophthalmology and Optometry group founded in Pasadena, California on October 1974. Our organization has been proudly serving the San Gabriel Valley area, the Inland Empire and most recently we have established our presence in the San Fernando Valley.

As there is no substitute for the experience our team of experts is led by our Medical Director, Dr. R. Alan Shelton, who is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and an industry pioneer in advanced intraocular lens (IOL) technology with a record number of 43,000 implanted IOL’s including 5,000 Lifestyle IOL’s. As we continue with our mission to provide the best-in-class patient care, it is with great pleasure that our renowned surgeons and highly-trained staff have also taken on clinical research investigations for some of the latest breakthrough technologies.
