BLUEFIN WRANGLER 620TT

Recently we water tested the Wrangler 620TT on the amazing waterways of the Gold Coast. Conditions were blowing 35 kmh from a south easterly which added to the excitement of putting this beast through its paces.

The test boat was partnered with the mighty Mercury 150hp 4 stroke power plant, which has been a staple go to engine for boats of this size for a few years now.

The 3.0L engine powers the 620TT effortlessly and is whisper quiet until you give it some throttle and the engine roars into life.

Matched perfectly to the Wrangler design and the 19 degree deadrise Eziride hull, the Mercury was fitted with an 18P Enertia stainless steel prop which offered excellent holeshot and performance right through the rev range.

The test boat was finished in the popular Black and Graphite Grey paint scheme which has become synonymous with the Wrangler range and featured the Bowrider front lounge with a casting deck infill. This layout has increased in popularity as it caters for family cruising whilst being versatile to drop in the deck infill to provide a full front casting deck with the cushions removed.

The standard inclusions being folding tee top, folding centre console provides the capability to store the boat in a shed or under an enclosure when not in use.

Other standard features include the full length duckboard, transom door, bait board, bait tank, duel battery set up, sealed storage hatches, LED cockpit lights, full electrical including bilge pump, battery switch, switch panel, nav lights, anchor lights, rocket launcher, rod storage tubes, hookless carpet (option for alloy floor), spray chines, seat box helm with swing backrest, anchor well (electric winch ready) and hydraulic steering.

The Wrangler has fully lined side panels offering rod storage for 6 rods and also provides concealed areas for additional closed cell flotation, which not only makes the Wrangler a very safe vessel but also provides additional noise reduction qualities to the hull.

During the test we were able to bring aboard a couple of potential customers who remarked just how well the boat performed in the sloppy conditions, how quiet the hull was and that it was certainly "a rig that outperformed many fibreglass boats" they had been looking at.
