Like the waves that echo in a shell

Slowly as the petals unfurl

Gently as the dew drops fell


I swear it was silence

It was lovely and showed elegance

Without a noise made an appearance

Soulful as an earthy fragrance


Oh! How much I yearned to hear this

Never thought that I would miss

To hear your silence is a wish

Heavenly as a fragrant mist



We had no words, yet we spoke a lot

Holding you close in a tight knot

You made the days brighter

The silence broke every barrier


The gentle thump of your heart

The distance that sets us apart

It's the silence that bridges the distance
