Blossom Mist - Eternally Apart

Quiet a pair we are, seemingly together yet afar
Like riverbanks, we stay near, but eternally apart
As two sides of a coin, who silently love, but never see one another
As the earth n sky, who always reflect in each other’s eye
Like the shore that patiently waits, for its love the waves
They violently rush; the sea pulls them away in a gush
We are like the sunflower and the sun
Who see each other, knowing they can never be together
As the phoenix, the fire it loves; burns it to ashes
For the precious love we crave, we get drawn as a moth to a flame
We end up bruised, beaten and burnt, though we never learn
We keep being together in lame, realizing this isn't any game
It is destined; you and I together can never shine
We will remain as one, but forever apart
