Black Rabbit - A Time in our Generation

The old folks sitting in their homes.
Sitting, watching nothing with nowhere to roam.
Wondering how things came to this.
Wondering about the things they miss.

The time seemed so simple then.
That they wish they could go back again.
Back when the world was theirs.
Because now it seems nobody cares.

But I think all that we have done.
Just to win the battles that we won.
And how they say we have no respect.
But they don't tell us what they expect.
For we are learning just as they did.
Way back when they were kids.
But this is a time in our generation
and were trying to make ours a better nation.

Till the time I'm sitting in my own home.
Sitting watching nothing with nowhere to roam.
Wondering how things came to this,
wondering about all the things I miss.
