Bijoy Philip - The Rain Chaser
0 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
Like how she knocked at my door that evening.
A lantern in hand held against the night’s rain.
The bangles in her arms jingled with the thunder outside
And it’s glow that stood against the lightning.
Her kajol smeared eyes that glistened with the rain drops.
That was as deep as the rain clouds.
Her lips that quivered as the winds touched them
That set her robes in frenzy across her face
And made me envy the rain drops that sprayed on her.
But like the rains she wasn’t mine.
She belonged to the winds
That came from the mountains.
That’s when I decided to chase the rains
And I became the rain chaser.
