Bijoy Philip - RAMBLER
3 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
His hair grizzled up
Eyes burning like coal
Face giving up the pointed cheek bones
Hailing his hands to the sky
His feet scaled and ruptured
With blood sticking on to dry mud
Running down the street
That had fire burning on lamp poles
The prophet that came from hell he was.
Opening his cave like mouth
With stained yellow teeth.
Shrieking my name.
Which threatened his windpipe to burst
Through the blue veined skin of his neck
He was searching for me.
A storm he said was coming
A message for you he rambled
A message for you.
Prophet from hell
Mad rambler
Born to the earth that contained
A sliced foetus frozen inside the mother’s womb.
The sound of iron chain that bound his legs
Clanking and coming closer
I woke up.
Killing him in my sleep
But his shadow still lingering
In the dark corners of my mind
Were sleep cannot drive her chariot into.
The monster that breeds inside me
That I kill every night
But resurrecting
With the same twisted smile
Loathing and shrieking in lunacy.
Ma semblable. Mon frére.
(My twin. My Brother)
