Big Yellow Trailer: A Bisbee Saga

In which a banana attends a City of Bisbee Board of Adjustments meeting: On Feb. 2nd, 2017, the Bisbee Board Of Adjustments rendered a unanimous decision to grandfather Blue Moon Bungalows and to allow Ms K. to occupy her 1953 Vagabond Mobile Home. Carol and Dan Beauchamp - along with 21 other Bisbee residents - brought a lawsuit in Superior Court demanding that the ruling be overturned. On March 21, 2017, the Bisbee City Council held a session to decide whether or not to instruct City Attorney Britt Hanson to defend the Board of Adjustments unanimous ruling that Kristine Gale’s 1953 Vagabond mobile home was legally grandfathered – or to default. Complete with a magic show, a bright yellow audience (even the police chief wore yellow) and a reluctant city attorney, here are highlights of the meeting...with a cameo appearance by Doug Stanhope!
