What to Bring to the Loading Table
It's almost time! Bring with you to the loading table your long guns and ammo. Know how many rifle rounds are shot on that stage, it may vary. In Cowboy Action Shooting you will almost always load 5 rounds in each pistol. A leather (or wood block) loading strip can really go a long way to help you keep track of how many rounds you are bringing to the stage. Loading strips usually hold 20 rounds (4 sections of 5, or 2 sections of 10). This makes it easy to count out 10 rounds for your pistols. The remaining 10 holes in your loading strip will be sufficient to hold the 9 or 10 rifle rounds usually required for most stages.
