Beaton Galafa - The Tree
0 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
I just thought of formally notifying you about the confusion in me
The African pyramid fails to understand the African tree
A straight trunk asexually dividing into branches
Supporting small unwanton leaves
Ashamed of losing them in the hottest summer
Why doesn’t it take the pyramid’s way?
The trunk stuns
Burdened it stands
Mass evades runs
A load withstanding storms
Seasons that come and go
Rain and fire alike
Until the smoulder
A smelly mouth agape
Portraying the chain-saw
Readying for a massacre
Yet the roots are intact
Ideas embalmed down
A new generation raised
The carpenter withers
The underworld keeps it going...
