Angela Beaton - Darkness

It eats at me, like a maggot eats thru death
draining me of all I have to give
Im slowly dying, walking like a zombie
waiting for the final day
when I can give up and pass away

I don't want to fight no more
its not worth the energy to give
I can't hold my head up no more
you can't make me stay

My time is up I'v given my last breath
you couldn't have known
the actions you have taken
would make it end this way

I watch in silence, labored breathing
feeling the hurt turn to numbness
resisting the urge to resist
I let it wash over me
the darkness has won
