A unique social experiment fronted by former British Home Secretary the Rt. Hon David Blunkett. Banged Up addresses one of the key issues facing Britain today: what exactly should we do with teenagers that are out of control? Scarborough Prison had been empty for over 100 years but for ten days one spring it reopened its cell doors.

Ten teenage boys, aged 16-17, on their way to a life of crime come face-to-face with ten reformed, hardened criminals who give them an in-your-face, no holds barred account of life inside. These young men are brought into the prison the same way as any criminal: they are stripped of their name and belongings and Banged Up.

Each teenager has a very different personal story to tell about their road to rehabilitation. First-hand accounts and testimonies from ex convicts, men who have been there, done that and served the time, underline the consequences they could expect if they choose a life of crime.
