Plusieurs enfants ont déjà eu un ami imaginaire, or un jour en grandissant, ils finissent par abandonner cet ami au profit d'amis réels. Qu'advient-il alors de cet ami imaginaire délaissé?
En ce soir d'été de 1993, Jason fête ses dix-huit ans en compagnie de son meilleur ami Michael. Un nouveau chapitre commence pour lui, le passage de l'enfance à l'âge adulte. Mais une fois rentré chez-lui, un cadeau d'anniversaire imprévu attend Jason, caché dans le noir. Son ami imaginaire est revenu, il est triste et n'est pas content.

Several children have already had an imaginary friend, but, some day, children get older and eventually leave him for the benefit of real ones. Then, what happens to the abandoned imaginary friend?
On that summer evening of 1993, Jason celebrates his eighteenth birthday with his best friend Michael. A new chapter begins for him as he enters into adulthood. But after returning home, an unexpected birthday present waits after Jason, hidden in the dark. His imaginary friend is back, he is sad and not happy.
