Baba Marta / Martenitsa

On March 1, Bulgarians celebrate Grandma Marta Day (Baba Marta in Bulgarian). People give each other martenitsas (small pieces of adornment) made of white and red thread as a symbol of health.
Le 1er mars, les Bulgares célèbrent la Journée de grand-mère Marta (Baba Marta en bulgare).
