“Brothers in Islam! We now have the enemy in front of us and the deep sea behind us. We cannot return to our homes, because we have burnt our boats. We shall now either defeat the enemy and win or die a coward’s death by drowning in the sea. Who will follow me?”

With this speech, iconic Muslim leader, Tariq Ibn-Ziyad led his tiny army of 7,000 men that was unreservedly outnumbered by the enemy. In an aura of fear and skepticism amongst the Muslim flanks the speech lifted the men and the Muslim army emerged victorious and conquered Spain.

That was 711 AD. This is 2014 and we the inhabitants in Pakistan are faced with barbarism, poverty and such grave problems that cannot be put in words. We were lost and without a vision till Allah sent one man to our rescue. He is Imran Khan and today he is calling you. Will you sit on the sidelines to watch as thousands take on the enemy of millions or will you jump in following the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim?

Remember, behind you is the bleak scene where you and your family will not have food, shelter or survival. And in front of you is an enemy that will attack you to make you leave. If you run, there is no way of retreat but if you fight, you will win. We know because that is what happened when Tariq jumped in with his men.
