Awesome Games #19: Pac-Mania (Arcade)

Pac-Mania is an arcade video game in the Pac-Man series, developed and published by Namco in 1987 (published by Atari Games in the United States and Europe). It seems that the game had success, as Pac-Mania was ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, and the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991 by Tengen, with the NES version being unlicensed (maybe because of console's limitations).

This game is a modern version of Pacman, it simulates a 3D world with practically the same game dynamics as the original. It has, however, new and different features like the ability to jump and more than four ghosts, including a few of them which have the ability to jump at the same time as the player does, meaning that they are unavoidable by jumping.

There are clones more interesting than this one, for example Hyper Pacman. However, it's a quite good game to play, but if you have to choose, I recommend you to play the Sega Genesis version of the game.

Please, don't snatch away our right to learn, our possibility to go back in history and, finally, our chance to know how the world evolved to the world we live today.
