Many of us like gardening but it can be very challenging. Tropical India environment is hot and further increases the issues as below
1) Daily watering of plants becomes a JOB not a Hobby
2) Worst may happen when we are away from home. Plants die of no water !!
3) Requesting neighbor does not help as they may forget many times
4) Hiring somebody for this job costs money & privacy issues

After many dead plants and seeing many issues I searched for solutions. Tried Bottle method did not work as still I need to fill water ~3 days interval. I wanted long permanent solution.

Here is what I found and it is working for more than 1 year now.
I can claim that it works as below
1) It eliminated Daily watering by making it automatic
2) No dead plants when you are away. Works for ~ 1year, no monitoring. Go for world tour !!
3) No requesting to neighbor
4) No Hiring & privacy issues


I searched a lot and found the following solution in two steps
1) Make a pipe system for drip irrigation -- Can make Manual watering easy
2) Put a Automatic control system -- Can water Automatically for a Year

Step-1
After lot of search I found M-DripKit Drip Irrigation system and gave it a try.
Now I am using it for last 2-year now without any issue. It is installed on my roof in Gurgaon Gurugram city for 32 plant pots. You can search on internet the same for best price.

1) Kit inside has Tube and other items are included in the same. Step wise step you can unpack the same and connect as per your layout needed. This kit comes with a tap connector, 1/2 inch diameter pipe, 4mm diameter feeder pipe length, connectors for the 1/2 inch pipe like "L" "T" and straight connector with valve. There is also a punch using which you can punch holes in the 1/2 inch dia pipe at places where your pots are located and insert the 4mm connectors. to this connectors you connect the 4mm pipe measure out the length you require to reach the potted plant insert an anchor and attach the regulator to the end. This kit has enough pipe length and parts for 50 pots.

Step-2:
Now we need to put an Electronic Automatic system to the same.

The order looks like the below

a) 1 nos of DRIP IRRIGATION AUTOMATIC WATER TIMER FOR GARDEN
b) 1 nos of GreenAge Screen filter with 3/4 inch female inlet and male outlet used in drip irrigation- 70 mesh screen
c) 2 Pcs of GreenAge 16mm Female Threaded Compression Coupling for 16mm PE Drip Irrigation Hose
d) 2 Pcs of GreenAge Quick Connector for 16 mm Drip Irrigation PE hose and Normal Hose
e) 2 Pcs of GreenAge Reducer to convert 1/2 inch male threaded outlet to 3/4 inch

This system can be installed as in video given above.

Now u can set the Timer and forget to Water till a Year at-least. Just be careful of the Battery normally it runs for ~ 1 year bt just in case.
