The Assassin’s Creed games have always looked beautiful. In fact, their visual sumptuousness is something players now almost take for granted. When we boot up one of Ubisoft’s historical open-world adventures we expect to see bustling cities, period-specific architecture and, once we synch our assassin with an Eagle Point, a sweeping panoramic view of his surroundings that stretches out for miles.

Ubisoft have created a massive open world that, according to the developers, is on a scale of 1:1 with area of central Paris. They’ve also packed it to the rafters with collectibles, missions and side quests. Along with the usual chests, dynamic missions and Eagle Points, players can help solve murder mysteries for the local constabularies and collect the odd bag of missing heads for Madame Tussaud.
