Have you ever wanted something more?
And then everything just tore.
Have you ever wanted a little more time?
And then it all stopped on a dime.
Have you ever needed one last day?
But it all just blew away.
Have you ever asked for one more chance?
But they didn't care to dance.

I've wanted something more.
Wished they'd get off the floor.
I've wanted a little more time.
Hoped they wouldn't pick up that lime.
I've needed one last day.
But they just walked away.
I've asked for one more chance.
But they kept their stance.

Have You Ever?

Have you ever been there for all the pain?
And relized there was no gain.
Have you ever seen all the tears?
After all those beers.
Have you ever been there that day?
They took everything away.
Have you ever seen the end result?
And realized it was their own fault.

I Have Ever!

I've been there for all the pain.
Even felt the strain.
I've seen the tears.
As well have my peers.
I've been there that day.
Where it didn't matter who it was anyway.
I've seen the end result.
Thought it was my fault.
