Aryn James - Mind vs. Heart

Why must there be this constant war over my mind and heart?
My mind keeps telling me that I’m over you,
And I’m stupid enough to believe it.
What a fool,
I don’t have a chance in this war.

It’s already over,
I know that every time I catch you with another girl
My psychotic heart will think I love you still,
And I will be miserable for the rest of the day
Sitting, staring, and blocking the blank noise of this hectic world from my mind.

It’s just ridiculous how your mind can play tricks on you,
Ugh! I wish I was strong,
I want to be so bad
Yet it’s like my heart would rather be broken then to be over you.

I guess I will just have to live with the pain
Because I know that we have already had our run,
And it was probably a one time thing.
So good bye and good night.
