Aryn James - How Do You Cry?

How do you cry?
Can anyone answer that simple question for me.
I try and I try to cry
But some how it stays bottled up.

I don’t want it to be though,
I just can’t help it.
I want so bad to just explode with tears.
So many tears that the seams that hold me together burst open.
But some how it stays bottled up.

It makes me feel quilty.
It makes me feel as if my heart won’t cry for anyone,
But I know It can,
Even as I write this simple poem
I feel the tears dwelling up inside my soul.
But some how it stays bottled up.

I think it is because I want to be strong.
I want to be strong for my single mother,
I want to be strong for my younger sisters,
I think I even want to be strong for myself.
But it would be nice to let it out of my sad eyes.
To let it run down my cheek,
And to my chin,
And to make my tears just stream like an endless river.
But some how it stays bottled up.

So how do you cry?
If you know, answer me.
Because all I want is to let it out of the chamber,
And to just sit there in my room,
And cry.
