On luscious, rolling hills of green,
Fruit trees linger and loom just after spring
The young plant their roots in the soil of opportunities
Brittle hopes and dreams are left to grow
Up in the presence of others, all in unity

Invincible teenagers explore the depth of their souls
Opportunities are bountiful, and there is no need to console
Their confidence is tangible, letting go of all values and morals
The liquid gold rays of the sun penetrate through reality
Letting them be courageous and dauntless, without time to quarrel

The secrets of summer are sealed in the ripe fruit of a peach tree
The juicy gossip running down a child’s chin, as they feel the glee
Of the thick, intoxicating juice, wanting more
The warm, gentle breath of the wind tickles their ears as
The summer of a life time makes their spirits soar
