Anish, the son of late popular Tollywood producer Padmanabhan, will make his directorial debut with a Tamil film titled Aadhikkam. His father produced more than 25 movies with stars such as Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Venkatesh. Anish’s movie delves into the life of mafia dons. The film has Vivin, a software engineer from Bengaluru, debuting as the hero.
Anish (23,) says his take on the underworld stands apart from earlier movies. Extensive research on society’s underbelly has led him to believe that mobsters are not created by society and circumstance as depicted in most films. “Most of them who become henchmen do so of their own liking and passion,” asserts Anish. A former DJ with short films to his credit, Anish’s film will also incorporate real life incidents. The movie will be shot in Chennai and the songs will be filmed in the United States, Britain and Mexico.
