Ananta Madhavan - River Vaigai

The cloud sucks up its sustenance
Deep from the mines of Sea,
And flays its bloated burden
On the hills of night,
Thundering,
Shedding falls for festoons.
Fluid legions sweep the plain,
King rich, conquering,
The waters of Vaigai.
