Every two weeks we will check in with Mr Markus Friedrich of Berlin based cigar shop Herzog am Hafen, who will give us tips on great cigars and their rum pairings. Kicking off the series is, fittingly, a cigar made by a company that was founded by a German banking family in 1844 - the H. Upmann Magnum 50. The Rum pairing today is the Venezuelan mixed blend Botucal - in the rest of the world known as Diplomatico.
