Amber fort, Jaipur

Amer Fort is located in Amer, 11 km from Jaipur. It was the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amer, before the capital was shifted to present day Jaipur. Amber Fort is known for its inherent Rajput artistic style, and its ornate and breathtaking artistic mastery. Construction of Amer fort was begun in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh and it was later extended by Jai Singh before he moved to Jaipur.
