Our LEED Certified factory weaves, cuts and sews our product in the most sustainable manner. All water used in finishing is re-captured, recycled, and re-used - no effluent leaves the factory with this closed-loop production process.

Our organic farmers operate as organic villages with Fair Trade wages managed by an organic cooperative. While we pay fair trade prices for our cotton, it is not enough. We also fund projects directly in the organic villages to assure our farmers benefit directly from our success.

Transparency is not a greenwashing word for us. The founders of Alterra Pure actually have extensive textile backgrounds and know what they are are doing. Product is primary, marketing is secondary. Since we know what we are doing, we have no secrets and share every detail and every ingredient on our website. There is no reason for secrets.

We also post our certifications online so you know Alterra Pure is certified organic. If a brand cannot show you a certificate with their name on that certificate, they are not certified organic.
