Every year, this exam is jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institutes of Technology during the month of January or February. Bachelor's or a master’s degree is the primary criteria to be eligible to sit for GATE exams. Together multiple choice questions and Numerical type questions make 60 questions worth 100 marks.
