Description

Maturity means massacring magic,
that is the way it seems to be.
Tenderness tends to turn tragic,
this is what they say to me.

Jingling jewellery justifies jabbing junkies,
they set me an example.
Kindness kidnaps kids,
there seems to be no trustworthy stranger.

I dream of meeting the dreamer of my dreams –
reality says I must grow (up) and settle (down) .
My heart still beats to the rhythm of another –
ignorant intelligence instructs it not too.
I long for this longing to be met by a stranger I have always known –
sense reminds me of a promise I have made to a good man…
I really should stop all this nonsense.

Yet my soul strives to be completed by its star-crossed half.
