I used to believe
Now Im not so sure
Left in turmoil
My emotions and sense
When I heard the news
From the message you sent
That you had been chosen
To suffer such pain
And I question
I dare question,
again
God is a bird
Fear and hope are his wings
The balance he keeps
Inspires faith
His praise we sing
But what faith when the fear
Leaves us weak
When he plucks the last rose
From the garden of hope
Are the clouds moving in
across your heart?
Or are we just pawns
In your game..to play a part
I used to believe
Now Im not sure
Though Ive questioned this faith
I have, before
I never found the answer
Never found the peace
Why its not true
What you sow
So you reap
