Description
Forever the fool
Her in the cage
Trapped by the fear
The one unexplained
Caught in a loop from stomachs deep pit
Overwhelming desire forever to check
Sickening mind
Thoughts come so foul
Of impending doom
She shouldn’t allow
Them into her head
As night does set in
And filling the day, circling within
Forever uneasy
Routine is her faith
To live reassurance is keeping her safe
From demons that lurk in shadows of old
If only, she prays
I could be so bold
To leave a place
Without turning around
Believe under the bed
No one will be found
The close of the door
Would lock it in place
Then annoyed disappointment
Would not show on your face
Oh to be free from the burden
Of tormenting thought
Free from the monster
That has her caught.
