I am just a voice amongst the throng,
Tenderly singing my own song,
But tell me, do you hear?
I feel I’m falling on deaf ear.
I am a twinkling in the night,
Amongst a sky filled, astounding bright
With diamonds, just for you,
Will you not wish upon me soon?
I am but a glint in a raging ocean,
Cast on a green, foam crested wave,
Will you ever catch me in your net,
Up on your mantle put me safe.
I am all these things and many more,
forever watching from afar,
Only you I do see,
But could you..do you, ever notice me..
