I hid a secret within my heart,
Afraid it would tare us apart.
I kept the secret inside my chest,
Thinking it would be the best.
I kept this secret behind my eyes,
Leaving my face unrecognized.

I kept this secret silent in my throat,
But you found what I wrote.
The few words I said
Got you misled.
I wanted to keep it to myself,
And tell nobody else.
Though I wish I'd thought of this before,
Cuz now there's nothing to hide anymore.
Now you know the truth,
Now you know how I feel about you,
You know that you did win,
Though all this, I can't take in.

You act as though it doesn't matter,
While in me, my heart shatters.
As though it's made of glass,
You, I'll pass.
My secret, I'll bury beneath my skin.
A new way, I'll begin,
And my mind won't let you in.
