Description

In the world of small government management and administration, William “Bill” McCauley has developed a robust and storied career. His experience continues to grow today as he works as a management consultant.
His experience spans more than four decades, ten townships, and millions of dollars of the government budget. He has established a reputation for efficiency and opposition to any form of corruption.
Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, Bill worked in towns across the New England region, where he began his life. He established himself with the town of Canaan, New Hampshire, and also worked in Charleston, Rhode Island, and Westminster, Vermont.
In 1985, McCauley moved to Lower Providence, Pennsylvania. This was the largest township he had ever worked with, but he found the experience invigorating and exciting. He was responsible for more than 5.4 million dollars in the budget and overseeing more than 20,000 Lower Providence residents.
Bill’s next significant experience was with the borough of Phoenixville, which is one of the fastest-growing areas in Pennsylvania. Then, the population was just over 15 thousand people, and his budget was just over 10 million dollars. As Borough Manager, Bill Eliminated more than a million dollars in deficit and implemented a 5-year capital improvement plan for the water distribution system.
His next major experience was with Bensalem, Pennsylvania. As a Director of Administration, he was responsible for a population of more than 60 thousand people, and nearly 200 million dollars in budget, trust fund, and pension assets. Here, alongside his next significant administrative experience in Bristol, Pennsylvania, he would build a massive amount of experience.
He oversaw major projects like building renovations, park refurbishments and acquisitions, job creation initiatives, housing initiatives, beautification projects, energy projects, and more.
He worked for nearly 20 years between these two townships, developing a truly monumental amount of expertise.
Today, he has shifted careers towards consultancy, seeking to provide his experience and expertise to townships across the state and beyond. He hopes that his experience in efficient and effective leadership can help towns of all sizes grow and develop to be the best places to live that they can be.
