Who was Abigail Folger?
Abigail Ann Folger was born in San Francisco California on August 11, 1943 and sadly died on August 9, 1969 in Bel Air, California at the hands of the Manson family.
Abigail, sometimes called Gibbie by her friends and family, was the heir to the Folgers coffee fortune and having a steady income from + . inheritance, Abigail Folger was known to live a less than glamorous lifestyle, by choice. Abigail was very devoted to child welfare and civil rights, which she worked hard for and even donated her own money for the cause.
Abigail Folger was a volunteer social worker in impoverished sections of Los Angeles.
Abigail Graduated from Radcliffe College with honors in 1964. She eventually attended Harvard University, where she graduated in 1967 with a Master's degree in Art History.
Abigail was friends with actress Sharon Tate who also died that day.
Abigail Folger became a political volunteer for the presidential campaign of New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy in 1968.
This video is dedicated not to the heiress but to the compassionate, beautiful, caring, and intelligent young lady that left us too soon.
