Mostly because he was too sad to function, and after a few days his mind started combining all his thoughts into words, and soon after he had a complete song. He knew that he was suppose to share these thoughts with the world and specially Michael Jackson's fans who were going through the same feeling of hurt, pain, anger and loss.
