A message from John

Four weeks ago, John was diagnosed with a rapid deterioration of the mitral valve which requires immediate heart surgery. He is scheduled for this open heart surgery Friday, April 8th. This requires opening his chest to either repair or replace the mitral valve of his heart. The post surgery recovery is four months to get to the point where he will be able to do any physical work.

John is an active hands on self employed contractor. His work requires many levels of physical activities and abilities in planning & design, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and miscellaneous repairs.

Because of the restriction on physical activity during the recovery period, he will be unable to work at all and this means no income. John is an important part of the lives of many people in our community, and we decided that we would like to give everyone who can an opportunity to help out this great guy.

John can cover his major monthly expenses, but needs our help with medical expenses and drug prescriptions not covered by his medical insurance as well as smaller monthly expenses which he has anticipated to be $1,500 per month, $6,000 for four months.
