7Shadows Teed - Like a Shadow

Like a shadow the memories of you follow me.
They remind me of how happy we were.
They haunt my dreams,
As my heart longs for you.

Like a shadow they won't let me be,
Not that it's a bad thing.
They remind me of how much I love you when my emotions start to fade.
They remind me of the me that only few have been able to see,
Yet alone make come out completely.

Like a shadow they follow me.
They bring to mind of how you’re an exception to so much stuff.
Of how when I say or do something that you sue to say or do...
Of how it sounded and how you acted...
How I start acting and sounding like you,
But not in a bad way.

Like a shadow they silently wait for me to pull them back out...
These memories that you left me with.
They haunt me,
But not in a bad way.
They comfort me and remind me of how much you'd protect me and love me...
Of how much I loved and love you...
Of how all you'd have to do is ask and I'd do anything for you...
They remind me of what I want to put into words for you but can't.

Like a shadow they follow me...
They haunt me...
They comfort me...
All because you made me fall madly in love with you...
But I wouldn't trade the memories or the feelings...
Or you for anything else.
