2026 Gold Coast Marathon Highlights

It was a historic day for the event, with an Australian taking the top spot in the men's marathon for the first time in 20 years. We captured the atmosphere as athletes from 59 countries participated. During the event, we spoke with an event photographer and a proud parent supporting their daughter’s first marathon, and tracked the race as it unfolded. 🌏✨

Men’s Marathon: 1st: Haftu Strintzos (AUS) - 2:06:20 (Course Record!)

Women’s Marathon: 1st: Almaz Kebebe (ETH) - 2:24:53

Wheelchair Men: 1st: Kota Hokinoue (JPN) - 1:39:02

Wheelchair Women: 1st: Madison de Rozario (AUS) - 1:57:03
