Description

This song, which remained untitled for over 20 years, was born in 1981 from a drum truck that was on a Run DMC record, but we had to wait another 5 years because samplers were too expensive, so in 1995 we were able to buy one that was little more than a toy, with a maximum sampling rate of 32,000 Hz. If we wanted an AKAI sampler, we just had to steal it, but who would have done that at the time, since only high-end recording studios had them? But this toy allowed us to create this piece that had only been in our head until then with the JD800, which we had bought three years ago at a bargain price because it came from a showroom and no keyboard player would ever have dreamed of buying at the time, because everyone wanted Yamahas.
Cbase installed on the Atari, also second-hand, which drove the MIDI tracks. That's how this piece was born. The vocal sample was on one of those CDs they gave you with pseudo-specialist magazines, and when it says "Live," it actually says "I love" backwards. This song, however, completely changed our approach to music, as you can hear a few years later in the video "Back to the End of MM."
