Here's a simple yet delicious recipe for Fresh Citrus Ginger Juice Mix that's refreshing and easy to adapt to your taste!
---
🍊 Fresh Citrus Ginger Juice Mix
Makes about 2–3 glasses
Ingredients:
· 3 oranges (or 1 cup orange juice)
· 1 grapefruit (pink or white)
· 2 lemons (or ½ cup lemon juice)
· 1 lime
· 1–2 inches fresh ginger, peeled
· Optional:
· A splash of sparkling water or plain water to dilute
· 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (if you prefer sweeter)
· Fresh mint leaves or a pinch of turmeric for extra freshness/health boost
· Ice cubes
---
Instructions:
1. Prepare the fruit:
· Roll the citrus fruits on the counter firmly to soften them for easier juicing.
· Cut oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and lime in half. If using a hand juicer, keep halves intact; for a blender, peel and segment.
2. Juice it:
· Using a citrus juicer, juice all the citrus fruits one by one into a pitcher.
· If using a blender: blend peeled citrus segments (remove seeds) with fresh ginger and a splash of water, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag.
3. Add ginger:
· Grate the ginger (or finely mince) and press through a small strainer into the juice, or blend it directly with the citrus if using a blender.
4. Sweeten (optional):
· Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired. Stir well.
5. Mix & serve:
· Pour into glasses over ice.
· Add a splash of sparkling water if you prefer a lighter, fizzy drink.
· Garnish with a slice of lime, mint leaves, or a thin slice of ginger.
---
🌿 Variations:
· Green Boost: Add a handful of spinach or kale before blending—you won’t taste it much but get extra nutrients!
· Tropical Twist: Add ½ cup pineapple or mango chunks.
· Spicy Kick: Add a small pinch of cayenne pepper or a few slices of fresh turmeric.
---
💡 Tips:
· Use organic citrus when possible since you may include some zest for extra flavor.
· Drink immediately for the most nutrients, or store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours (shake before serving).
· Adjust sour/sweet balance with more orange (sweeter) or more lemon/lime (tangier).
Enjoy your vibrant, zesty juice mix
