Description

This video is a 3 week time-lapse of a zucchini plant. Which shows how dynamic plants are and how much they change throughout the day. Every second of the video is roughly 25 minutes of real time.\r
\r
You can clearly see male flowers growing over a couple of days and opening in the morning. The flowers close around noon and then wilt and dry out over the next couple of days. Unfortunately there were no female flowers to show in this video. You can tell if a flower is female by a small bulb attached underneath the flower. It is very common for the male flowers to appear first. Female flowers will eventually start forming, sometime much later.\r
\r
The plant ended up not being very healthy by the end of the three weeks, because of a possible spider mite infestation. \r
\r
Some of the pictures at night very removed, because they were too dark. \r
\r
The images were captured with a Raspberry Pi camera module and the video was created using Blender.\r
