Zoologist Rescues Hooked Cormorant

Occurred on October 25, 2021 / Ambleside, Lake District, Cumbria, UK

: "I’m a zoologist from the Lake District who when out on a walk saw a cormorant struggling to swim. On closer inspection, it could be seen that the bird was hooked on a fishing line. So with the help of a good friend (Ashley cooper) my girlfriend (Amanda Dixon) and some good Samaritans, I was able to grab the bird and free it from the hook."
