Zoe Elsworth - Deadly Silence

The night was unforgiving
While the breeze cut my skin
Was I the only one left living
Questioning this screaming pain within

Flames dancing in the air
Attempting to pull myself together
As I let out a silent cry of despair
Body heavy though head a feather

Explosions breaking the deafening silence
While I wept in utter desperation
There was to be no assistance
No escaping the deadly situation
