ZhaoNian (Michael) Chen - A Pleasant Day

It happened on that clear day,
wisps of white clouds lightly fly,
as jewelry hung, dangling high.
A light blue hue forming sky.

The October breeze flies through the woods
As the autumn leaves rustle against the trees,
breaking with each step softly,
cracking with sounds of beauty.

The wind swooshies and the leaves rustles
I walked in peace amid the woods.
Then I knew I was not alone
For there stood one inside the deep woods.

That sight, I will never forget,
That day on the path in the woods
stood a woman, mid the magical set.
That second lightning struck me, in the woods.

Her sky colored light blue dress
floates with gossamer light,
With her dark, wavy hair waving
through the magical air, flowing.

Her fair skin shining in eternal light
shaming the ever brighter moon.
Her beauty easily engulfs my sight
Topping the prettiest flower.

That morning I took her hand
The happiest person of the land.
That night, I stayed with her
Within her fragrance, I lost myself.
