Zaliha warns against illegal Ramadan bazaar operations
Description
The government prioritises the welfare of small traders, but they must not exploit the system by operating illegally at Ramadan bazaars in the capital, said Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) made the statement on Wednesday (March 5) in response to viral video clips showing DBKL-uniformed enforcers confiscating items from Ramadan bazaar traders at Taman Wilayah Selayang and Masjid Jamek for allegedly conducting business in unauthorised areas, obstructing pedestrian walkways, and operating without a license.
