In the beginning, was a pair of socks

They were not splendid but rather ordinary

Before the big bang when the light bulb blew

And the rent was overdue

And the person who, used to live here remembered his name

Or why he had came

The socks lay in a box they were grey

And on a rather dull day at the very beginning

A pair of socks came

ordinary

Dull

Simple but functional

But alas by that time the person

Who had forgotten his name

Or why he had came

Walked without shoes

Or socks

With bare feet and skin into the road

And naked he lay crushed like a wild boar or antelope

Quite forgotten

Left under the wheels of a car that sped and fled into the night


Jumping the lights

But the dull grey untouched socks...well they were ALRIGHT! !
